What science experiments does MOS perform?All of our science experiments, along with their instructions, are listed under the "Our Experiments" tab. Don't forget -- safety is the most important!

How do I stay safe while doing the experiments?Each experiment has specific safety protocols described in the PowerPoints. In general, make sure you are wearing proper protective equipment such as gloves and eye goggles. Do not eat or drink anything used in the experiments or was near the space where experiments are conducted, under any circumstances, regardless of how safe it may seems.

Who can start a Magic of Science chapter?Anyone! Magic of Science chapters can be started anywhere! There is an application process to start a chapter of your own, and we are here to help you at every step. To learn more about starting a chapter, please click here.

How do I start a Magic of Science chapter?Starting a Magic of Science chapter is the best way to get involved with our mission, where you will be able to directly interact with children in need! To learn more, please go to our "Start a Chapter" page or follow this guide here.

What are the requirements to start a chapter?At minimum, you must have at least a designated President, Treasurer, and an Advisor who is a faculty member of your school and/or is above 21 years old. Additional roles can be created at your own discretion. Specific requirements to maintain active status of a chapter will be detailed during Orientation after you have submitted an application! Do I earn service hours for the amount of time that I spent running a chapter?Yes! The amount of time that you have spent on setting up meetings, attending meetings, coordinating fundraisers, or communicating with local nonprofits all counts toward your hours! Please note that these hours only count for your chapter's officers, not members. And make sure to document properly prior to submit your hours for approval.

How can I raise money for my chapter/donation/volunteer needs?Fundraising is a crucial part of any organization. We understand that some of you may not have experience in fundraising, so we have made a guide here to help you get started! If you need help, please feel free to reach out to us!

Do I earn service hours for fundraising?Yup! Please note that you will need to include pictures of the event as proof. Service hours submission form is available on our "Volunteer" page.
