Meet Our Dream Team!
Phu Nguyen
Founder and Executive Director
Hello! I am currently a senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I hope to go to medical school and become a pediatric oncology surgeon.
Ten years ago, I found my love for science when I first recreated the "Tornado in a Water Bottle" experiment. However, while living in Vietnam, I had limited resources to conduct the experiments that I was so fascinated by. Therefore, when I immigrated to the U.S. at 12 years old, I quickly dove into my love for science. And now, I hope to provide the opportunity for underprivileged kids to potentially find their passion for science!
I founded Magic of Science to provide in-need children around the world with the resources to ignite their interest in STEM. I promise to stay active in Magic of Science until all children around the world have the opportunity to experience the wonders that science has to offer! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me!

I am attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and I am also majoring in Chemistry with a minor in Medical Anthropology. My goal in the future is to become a cardiothoracic surgeon operating in underserved communities.
When entering college, I was looking for an organization in which I could see the tangible impact being made, and one that aimed to serve underprivileged populations. With Magic of Science, I found just that! I hope to continue to spread the impact that Magic of Science has made for me and the community, and watch this organization serve underprivileged children around the world!

As a junior at UNC-Chapel Hill majoring in Biology, I am currently studying to become a pediatrician! I joined Magic of Science as I believe that there is nothing more life-changing than watching a child’s face light up in the presence of science.
I plan to take each of these beautiful moments when a child finds joy in science experiments and use them to help me better connect with children. I hope to learn from their wonder and curiosity, which allows me to view science from a different point of view. To have the opportunity to help in-need children find a sense of empowerment through science is truly one of a kind.
